Description
Under the direction of the Education Administrator, help plan, organize, control and direct operations and activities of Morongo School to provide care and learning activities; coordinate and direct communications, personnel and resources to meet the needs of children and assure smooth and efficient Program operations and activities; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. Assist the Education Administrator with administrative duties involving student conduct, curriculum development, and school plant operations as assigned.
  • Plan, direct and manage the operations and activities of the Morongo School program.
  • Organize, schedule and assign work to staff; establish work standards and evaluate individual job performance; assure staff access to the resources necessary to provide a quality program; teach and provide in-service training.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in programs and activities related to school function, such as instruction or student discipline.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties to assist the Education Administrator in managing the school; assist in providing educational programs and services as requested; assume the duties of the Education Administrator as assigned.
  • Develop and administer disciplinary procedures in accordance with School policies; confer with students, parents, teachers, and community agencies; assign students to school service; suspend or recommend expulsion of students as appropriate.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional programs; ensure that curricular requirements are properly integrated and coordinated.
  • Compile, analyze and interpret test data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and testing processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field and
  • Four years of classroom experience, including at least two years at the secondary school level. Plus experience involving personnel management or staff development.
  • Valid California K-12 Administrative Services Credential
  • Valid California Teaching Credential (Single or Multiple subject)
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Master's degree in education or a related field preferred
