Job description

The purpose of this position is to compassionately deliver high-quality advanced life support (ALS) ambulance transport service to the residents, guests, and employees of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians Reservation and Enterprises. Ambulance Operators (AO) are to perform various duties in support of Morongo Reservation Fire (MRF) emergency ambulance transport. Operating an ambulance, the AO will respond to 911 emergencies, providing basic and advanced medical care to the ill and injured within their scope of practice and by established policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid California Class driver's license and insurable on company policy
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Valid California Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Card (from DMV)
  • State of California Paramedic License
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Card or equivalent RHeaRT Certification
  • Valid AHA PALS Card
  • Valid AHA ACLS Card or equivalent RHeaRT Certification
  • Valid PHTLS Card or equivalent ITLS Card
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
