Hacienda is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist the company in maintaining and enhancing the company's financial reporting. This position requires a highly skilled and proactive professional who can work independently toward company goals. Candidates should have vast experience in financial accounting and reporting as well as the ability to manage a team.
A day in the life
  • Performing and/or overseeing month-end close procedures
  • Produce complete monthly financial statements accurately and on time
  • Maintain compliance under GAAP
  • Perform reconciliations of financial accounts
  • Maintain fixed assets depreciation
  • Plan and oversee inventory counts and analyze results
  • Assist in budgeting processes
  • Prepare special reports as necessary for reporting to Executives and Board of Directors
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Analyze company expenditures and cash flow
  • Supervise junior accountants and other finance staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks
  • Lead or participate in ad hoc financial projects such as system implementation or process improvements.
  • Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives, such as expansion into new markets or product lines

Required skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exam highly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, Some experience in public accounting setting highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience across a broad range of accounting functions such as cash management, receivables, payables, purchasing, and expense reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
