Job description

We are a brand‑new Montessori Micro-school opening June 1, built on the belief that every child deserves an environment rooted in respect, independence, and joyful learning. Our school is intentionally inclusive, designed for both neurodivergent and neurotypical children to learn side by side. Inspired by Montessori philosophy and informed by lived experience — including supporting an autistic child — our mission is to create a space where children feel seen, supported, and empowered.
The Role
We are seeking a warm, grounded, and growth‑oriented teacher to join us at the very beginning of our journey. This is an opportunity to help shape the culture, routines, and learning environment of a new school. The ideal candidate brings Montessori experience (formal training or classroom experience), a collaborative spirit, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
Responsibilities
  • Support a mixed‑age Montessori environment with respect, patience, and curiosity
  • Guide children through hands‑on, child‑led learning experiences
  • Model emotional regulation, independence, and problem‑solving
  • Maintain a calm, sensory‑aware classroom environment
  • Collaborate with the founder to refine routines, materials, and classroom flow
  • Communicate with families in a warm, professional, and supportive manner
Qualifications
  • Montessori training or classroom experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with neurodivergent children is a plus
  • Commitment to inclusion, respect for the child, and Montessori principles
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to grow with the school
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday for 3 hours/day
Why Join Us
  • Be part of a mission‑driven school from day one
  • Grow your role and hours as the school expands
  • Work in a supportive, child‑centered environment
  • Opportunity to shape a truly inclusive Montessori community
