Position Title: Food Service Substitute

Terms of Employment: 9 month position

Evaluated By: Building Food Service Manager


Employment Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Possess excellent customer service skills

As an employee of the Huntington County Community School Corporation, some job duties may involve access to information/records that are considered confidential. Employees of the school corporation respect the confidentiality of the student and follow procedures to protect privacy.

Essential Job Duties


• Monitors meals to meet USDA regulation for meals

• Assures a clean and stocked area

• Maintains proper signage

• Responsible for setup/tear down of the area

• Works together with all staff on leftovers

• Completes assigned SafeSchools training, as required

• Cleans tables between meals

• Properly completes daily bookwork

• Communicates low and negative balances with families in a positive and respectful manner

• Responsible for yearly startup/ shut down with student ID#’s, barcodes, etc.

• Maintains an accurate personal time sheet
