About the Role
The School Lunch Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school cafeteria at Moving Everest Charter School. This position ensures that students receive nutritious and timely meals in a safe and welcoming environment. The assistant collaborates closely with kitchen staff to prepare, serve, and clean up meals while adhering to health and safety standards. Additionally, the role involves engaging positively with students to promote a pleasant dining experience and assist with any special dietary needs. Ultimately, the School Lunch Assistant contributes to the overall well-being and satisfaction of the school community through efficient and compassionate service.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff in accordance with established nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria, including tables, serving areas, and kitchen equipment.
  • Support the kitchen team by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools promptly and thoroughly.
  • Monitor student behavior in the lunchroom to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Help manage inventory by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a hygienic food service area.
