DATTCO has School Bus Monitor openings at our location in Burrillville, RI. In this role, you will play a vital role in your community by ensuring that our kids get to school safely every day.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a reasonable level of good behavior by the children on the bus, minivan, van or car.
  • Effectively enforce school bus safety rules by making sure students remain in their seats, do not harm themselves or other students, do not eat on the bus or violate other safety regulations.
  • Recognize dangerous situations that would affect the safety of the children and report to the bus driver immediately.
  • After the end of each school run, assist the driver in performing a spot inspection to make sure all children are off the bus.
  • Assist in the buckling of children, or other safety equipment, as outlined by safety laws.
  • Assist in the evacuation of children off the vehicle during emergency situations.
  • Assist the driver with directions as defined by a pre-determined route sheet.

Position Requirements:

  • 16+ years old.
  • Pass a background check. Pass a drug test.
