Summary:ย 


The Senior Monitoring Engineer will join ESM team to provide APM monitoring solutions and support business critical applications. Incumbent will support ESM customers with application performance analysis as well as implementing, supporting and maintaining CA APM environment. This individual will work closely with application development and prod support teams providing guidance as a subject matter expert in setting up CA APM, developing custom end-to-end monitoring solutions (automation, alerting, reports, custom agents, and dashboards) to meet requirements for our mission critical applications. It is expected of incumbent to work in partnership with customers to create and implement effective monitoring solutions to improve availability and reliability of applications. Role also requires ability to develop reports, dashboards, and presentations using metrics/data and information collected. Builds relationships within technology and business areas and assists in improving understanding of how monitoring metrics/data can be used and identifies opportunities to expand monitoring services and capabilities. This candidate will be an out of box thinker, a strategist who can create roadmaps and obtain by-in from peers and customers.

Qualifications

Required Skills:ย 


5+ years of hands-on experience on CA APM suite of tools (Wily/Introscope, CEM, Executive Insight ), including CA Wily Introscope (Installation, administration, configuration of infrastructure, agents and standalone monitors)

Has through knowledge of CA Agent Technology (J2EE, .Net, WebLogic, Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.)

2+ years of experience on CA CEM (preferred)

3+ Application Performance Monitoring experience on several web platforms (JVM, .Net, Tomcat)

Working knowledge J2EE application functionality

WebLogic application and portal servers and/or WebSphere application and MQ servers

Strong communication, technical and analytical skills are required

Experience with JavaScript, SQL, and UNIX scripting would be nice to have; as well as any experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure) solutions.ย
