Job description

Job Summary:
The Audio Visual Event Technicians will assist the team in the setup, operation, and dismantle of audio visual systems for live corporate and social events. They will report to the client's project manager and will be responsible for ensuring seamless video programming, audio transmission, and graphics operation during events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup, operation, and dismantle of audio visual systems for live corporate and social events
- Operate video switch equipment to ensure seamless video programming
- Set and focus projectors of various sizes
- Understand video signal flow, video resolution, and basic content formatting
- Provide two-way audio transmission for video-conferences and live-streaming
- Set and operate performance audio as a Front of House (FOH) Engineer or Monitor Engineer
- Create and operate graphics and PowerPoint presentations for corporate events
- Make small adjustments to client content as needed
- Assist with basic AV setup, operation, and tear down
- Handle projection, computers, audio systems, microphones, and stage lighting systems
- Collaborate with Audio/Video/Lighting Operators and adapt to on-site changes in a fast-paced live environment
- Interact with clients in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Skilled in operating video switch equipment such as Analog Way, Barco, and Folsom systems
- Comfortable setting and focusing projectors of various sizes
- Knowledgeable in video signal flow, video resolution, and basic content formatting
- Familiarity with Behringer X32, Midas M32, and QSC Touchmix audio systems
- Ability to ring out rooms and provide two-way audio transmission
- Experience as a Front of House (FOH) Engineer or Monitor Engineer
- Proficient in operating graphics laptops for PowerPoint and Keynote presentations
- Basic understanding of video signal flow (bonus)
- Previous experience in hotel AV is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work in a live corporate event environment
- Strong communication and client interaction skills
Compensation:
The salary for the Audio Visual Event Technicians position ranges from $25 to $65 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
