Job description

This position is on night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday to Thursday. 

Pay Range: $24 and up depending on experience. 

Description

The AZEK Company/LB Plastics Mooresville, NC division is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician, under the direction of plant engineer, will be responsible for conducting scheduled maintenance, repairing equipment, documenting maintenance and repair on lines within their shift.  The Maintenance Technician must/will possess skills, knowledge and experience related to working on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic within a large manufacturing environment.

 Core Responsibilities:

  • Must maintain a safety-first attitude and follow all company safety requirements.
  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are always maintained and able to run
  • Completes work requests as defined by plant engineer, plant manager and shift leaders.
  • Services lines by completing daily preventative maintenance.
  • Contributes to line commissioning after maintenance/process events
  • Assumes a strong role in the understanding and implementation of plant projects
  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
  • Complete tasks with other maintenance personnel while working within a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years in a similar position
  • Proven experience in working with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic
  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Forklift certified
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings a plus
  • Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, manufacturing environment
  • Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business
  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
