Position: Custodial Support
Our Purpose:

Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout Plant 3 (8000 Century Blvd, Ste. 500, Chaska, MN 55317). This role supports both shop and office areas and plays a key part in keeping our facility running smoothly.
โ€ข The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Shop Areas
  • Clean and sanitize shop restrooms (2 men's, 2 women's) in accordance with facility standards
  • Empty and dispose of garbage and recycling throughout shop areas

Office Areas
  • Clean and sanitize office restrooms (1 men's, 1 women's)
  • Empty office garbage and recycling containers
  • Vacuum carpets and clean flooring in office spaces
  • Dust and wipe down desks, surfaces, and common office areas

Entrances
  • Clean and maintain three main building entrances to ensure a safe and welcoming environment

Lunchroom
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers
  • Clean and sanitize microwaves, sink, and countertops
  • Wipe down tables, chairs, and refrigerator surfaces
  • Sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness and safety

Team Support
  • Support the custodial team with cleaning and maintenance tasks in additional areas as needed

Requirements
Qualifications and Competencies:
Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of custodial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Proven experience operating industrial vacuum.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and guidelines.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of cleaning and preserving floors, walls, surfaces, furnishings, and fixtures.
  • Proficiency in operating custodial tools and power equipment, such as vacuums.
  • Ability to perform moderately heavy manual work, including lifting and moving items over 25 pounds.
  • Capacity to climb ladders and stairs safely.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day. The employee must be able to lift and move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
