Job description

Wiilis Knighton Health System is seeking an RN for the Pediatric Endocrinology South clinic. The RN will provide nursing care to patients in the physician's office under the supervision of a clinical physician. The job responsibilities include, are not limited to, the following: assessing the health status of patients and collaborating with the medical staff and physicians to establish care procedures for the diabetic pediatric population. Contributes to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions, assessment of diabetic pediatric patients, medication administration, assisting and managing insulin pumps, blood glucose monitoring, patient and family education. Documents on the hospital wide enterprise system and strong communication skills are a must. Will assist in waived lab testing. Clinical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. A strong benefit and salary package are offered.
