What You'll Do
As a Registered Nurse, you'll play an essential role in guiding patients safely through their surgical experience, from pre-operative preparation through recovery and discharge.
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings 
  • Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures 
  • Identify and communicate changes in patient condition 
  • Develop and update individualized nursing care plans 
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care 
  • Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment 
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff 
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions 
  • Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education 
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required 
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum one (1) year of Operating Room (OR) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • CPAN certification preferred
