Summary
Miller Industries is seeking to fill the position of Quality Engineer at our Hermitage facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Quality:
  • Maintains and assists in the use and development of the Quality Management System to the current requirements of ISO 9001:2015
  • Performs quality audits to determine product and process conformance.
  • Maintains facility quality records including Corrective Actions, documented audits, and non-conforming material log as required by ISO 9001:2015.
  • Maintains working knowledge of quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Works with Purchasing, Operations, and Supplier Quality to record and solve Supplier issues.

General:
  • Monitors changes to facility operations and processes to determine whether new quality controls are warranted
  • Advises plant management in quality-related matters and recommends improvements as needed
  • Maintains regular line of communication with corporate office and serves as facility's primary point-of-contact in all quality related topics
  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Performs other duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Strong reading comprehension and technical writing skills
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, standards, specifications, and other technical documents
  • Ability to utilize precision measuring devices to determine product conformance with standards
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or three to five years of relevant and verifiable experience and/or training in quality or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
  • Has or can obtain relevant training and certifications from accepted sources, such as ASQ, etc.
  • Experience with or ability to learn navigation of an ERP system, particularly Infor LN
