For over 50 years, Our Client has helped some of the world's most recognized companies become, and remain, market leaders. From emerging enterprises to large public corporations, their clients are leaders in the technology and life sciences sectors and are fundamentally changing the world through rapid innovation.
Our client's Patent Group is renowned for its excellence, having been named Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year by Managing Intellectual Property (2023 & 2022), ranked Tier 1 in California by Chambers USA (2022), highly recommended by IAM Patent 1000 (2022), and consistently rated as a leading practice by The Legal 500, achieving the highest national tier in 2022.
About the Position:
Currently, Our Client is seeking a patent agent with at least one year of legal practice experience, preferably at a law firm, for their life sciences practice in their Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, or Washington, D.C. offices. The ideal candidate will have a PhD (or MD) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, oncology, or a related field. Post-doctoral experience is desirable but not required. The candidate must have a USPTO registration number, superior academic credentials, and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
To apply, candidates are requested to complete an online application and include a cover letter, resume, full academic transcripts (both undergraduate and graduate), and two writing samples - one being an application drafted by the candidate and the other an office action response with persuasive argument drafted by the candidate.
