We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded individual who has a desire to jump in and learn our injection molding machines and processes. If hired, you’ll spend 9-12 months working through a robust in-house training program, designed to develop you into a technical leader at Royal. You bring the eagerness to learn and we will equip you with the technical skills needed to help you grow into a supervisor role! This position reports to the Production Manager, and is supported by the bay (department) Injection Molding Supervisor. This is a 2nd (4pm-12am) position Monday-Friday. Core Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment. Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for improvement
  • Climb in and out of injection molding equipment in order to best perform mold and color changes
  • Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure our customer standards and needs are met
  • Maintain the work area, equipment and molds to provide the team with an organized workplace and proper tools
  • Responsible for machine safety and for following all prescribed lock out procedures 
Other Responsibilities:
  • Learn to schedule team machine assignments and break coverage in order to hit daily goals
  • Work alongside current Molding Supervisors, learning how to lead a small team (3-6) in the execution of daily production tasks and in continuous improvement
  • Practice writing and conducting employee performance evaluations
Physical Responsibilities:
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks
  • Bending and stooping 
  • Ability to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • All employees must wear approved safety glasses
What You’ll BringQualifications:
  • Proven hands-on technical experience (work or personal) is highly preferred (utility, maintenance, process tech, etc.)
  • Experience with injection molding equipment is a plus
  • High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience 
  • Willing and able to work 45-50 hours per week
  • Ability to train on 1st shift (8am-4pm) for 3-6 months. 
  • Prior leadership experience is greatly appreciated
