A mold shop is a specialized workshop or facility where molds are designed, fabricated, maintained, and repaired. These molds are used in manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, and blow molding to shape materials like plastic, metal, or rubber into specific forms. Mold shops typically employ skilled machinists, mold makers, and technicians who use advanced machinery and tools to create precise molds based on engineering drawings or models. The quality and accuracy of the molds produced in a mold shop are crucial for ensuring the consistency and quality of the final manufactured products.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of someone working in a mold shop?

In a mold shop, daily responsibilities often include preparing and maintaining molds, operating machinery such as CNC mills and lathes, and performing quality checks to ensure molds meet precise specifications.
