Responsibilities
  • Review new product designs and recommend the most effective measurement processes using a range of tools, including hand measurement tools, custom fixtures, visual inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
  • Create detailed measurement processes for new product designs and rigorously evaluate them to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and practicality for use in a high-volume production environment.
  • Perform new product qualification activities, including First Article Inspections, gage repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) studies, and capability studies to validate measurement and process performance.
  • Program and operate CMMs (such as OPG, Zeiss, and Mitutoyo) using software like Zone3, PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar platforms to execute measurement routines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to develop comprehensive measurement plans and inspection strategies.
