Job description

Job Summary: 

Design new products and tools such as plates and gaskets using advanced 3D modeling to enhance the performance, manufacturability, cost, and quality of Tranter industrial heating and cooling products. Telecommuting available up to 3 days per week from home office within commuting distance of the office. International travel up to 5% per year to visit company and vendor locations in Asia and Europe.


Minimum Requirements: 
 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing principles related to metal sheet forming, press tool design (molds), and qualification processes
  • 5 years of experience in advanced 3D modeling experience with NX, CATIA, Inventor, or SolidWorks
  • 5 years of experience in 2D drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • 2 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or forming analysis
