A shift  -  Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday -  6 am - 6 pm

What we need:

Performs inspections and makes repairs to trailer units, shop equipment, and service vehicles.

 What you'll do:

  • Preventative maintenance on tanker trailers, trucks, flatbed trailers, van trailers, some fabrication.
  • Must be able to diagnose power units and use computer software. .
  • Inspect the overall condition of trailers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

 Type of Experience and Knowledge:

  • High school education or equivalent and/or letter of equivalence from Department of Transportation preferred.
  • Two (2) years on-the-job experience as a truck/trailer mechanic required.
  • Must be able to make inspections and perform maintenance/repairs to Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL
  • Air Break Certified

Competencies: 

  • Must be an effective team member.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
  • Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
