A Moffett Driver must have a valid commercial driver’s license (often Class A or B), strong spatial awareness, and experience operating both trucks and mounted forklift equipment. Familiarity with Moffett forklifts, load securement tools, and electronic delivery documentation systems is typically required, along with any specialized certifications for forklift operation. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and reliability help drivers excel when working with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers. These competencies ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate delivery and unloading of goods, often at sites with limited space or unique logistical challenges.
As a Moffett Driver, your daily responsibilities typically include transporting goods to delivery sites using a commercial vehicle and operating a mounted Moffett forklift to unload materials directly at customer locations. You’ll be expected to perform pre-trip vehicle inspections, secure loads safely, and maintain accurate delivery records via digital or paper logs. In addition to safe driving and equipment handling, you’ll often interact with customers to coordinate drop-offs and may collaborate with onsite staff for complex deliveries. This role requires adaptability, as delivery sites can vary from construction sites to retail locations, each presenting unique challenges for navigation and unloading. Being proactive, safety-conscious, and communicative are keys to success in this position.
A Moffett Driver operates a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett) to load and unload goods at various locations. They transport materials, such as construction supplies or heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. Moffett Drivers need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and experience handling forklifts. Duties also include inspecting the vehicle and forklift for safety compliance.
