Summary of Position
The Process Engineer is responsible for development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI), identifying and implementing improvement projects, conducting root cause analysis for production and maintenance issues, and collaborating with the operations team on program deliverables. Additionally, you will be involved in equipment evaluation, compliance with standards and legislation, and mentoring and training newer team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).Â
- Support the production team with data and analysis toward resolving other issues including those outside of engineering scope.Â
- Hands-on root cause analysis on production, engineering, equipment, and maintenance issues.Â
- Identify and implement kaizen projects to improve productivity & efficiency.Â
- Projects and process improvements (implementation, analysis, and process improvements).Â
- Process Control Specification.Â
- Process Control Flow Chart.Â
- Support Equipment Runoff @ OEM.Â
- Collaborate with the Operations Team on Program Deliverables.Â
- Lead the development of VSM (Value Stream Map) for Production lines across all sites.Â
- PFMEAs Review / Simulation Review / Control Plans / Launch Deliverables.Â
- Support Plant Equipment Install / Debug / Launch / Continuous Improvement.Â
- Actively participate in meetings with the plants to support and meet the project deliverables.Â
- Support all sites with troubleshooting activities, provide solutions and support for process concerns or improvement.Â
- Automation troubleshooting, new equipment installation and modifications.Â
- Process equipment evaluation to implementation.Â
- Ensure equipment and systems comply with relevant standards and legislation.Â
- Establishes equipment installation board and review weekly/daily with OEM and contractors.Â
- Develop and lead trial runs at all sites.Â
- Coaching / Mentoring / Training of newer / less experienced team members.Â
- Support the quotation of machinery or equipment required for the processes.Â
Additional Requirements:Â
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.Â
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.Â
