The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports directly to the department manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
  • Six years of direct job-related experience
  • Computer skills are a plus.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating any equipment or machinery.
• Provide support to engineers by troubleshooting process problems and implementing timely solutions.
• Monitor/debug methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
• Assist in layout of workstation to improve workflow.
  • Monitor all process parameters, utilizing metering equipment, throughout shift.
  • React to process problems quickly; consult with engineers on appropriate action.
  • Assist engineers with design of experiments.
  • Assist with all set ups with the department.
  • Ensure all equipment is working properly.
  • Interact/interface with supporting departments
  • Ensure all safety rules and regulations are being followed.
  • Report any and all no conformities and accidents.
  • Do not modify or by-pass any safety related systems on any equipment or machinery.
  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors to your department manager.
  • Immediately report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your department manager or safety department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
