Are you an electrical design professional who wants to advance your technical skills while providing top-notch customer service? As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating a complete electrical design package, including BOM, layout, loop wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams. Additionally, you will be responsible for component sizing, generating IO lists, and performing power load calculations, ensuring designs comply with various industry standards such as UL and IEC.

Responsibilities

  • Understands automation and electrical components to meet customer specifications, application requirements, and industrial standards
  • Designs custom control panels, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and one-line power distribution drawings
  • Conducts IO checkout and validation
  • Performs enclosure FLA and heat dissipation calculations
  • Creates and maintains AutoCAD Electrical templates, blocks, and symbols library
  • Organizes and maintains project drawings and technical documentation
  • Researches components and identifies electrical requirements from data sheets/manuals
  • Manages time effectively across multiple projects

Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field/equivalent relevant experience (3.4 GPA minimum)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with electrical symbols, understanding electrical schematics, and designing power & control circuits
  • Experience with electrical design software (preferably EPlan)
  • Working knowledge of standard automation instrumentation (PLCs, IO Modules, VFDs, Motors, etc.) and industrial communication networks
  • Ability to size, identify and select electrical components (breakers, fuses, VFDs, disconnects, etc.) per project specifications
  • Familiar with North American electrical code and standards with the ability to apply them to electrical project specifications with some supervision.
  • Ability to manage projects from specification to quality control with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of panel design from DC to 480V systems
  • Capable of occasional travel
