Job Description We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer Lead (AWS) to join our platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS, Terraform, and DevOps/GitOps and a proven ability to design, build, and automate secure, compliant, and reusable cloud platform services in an enterprise financial environment. Responsibilities: Translate business and platform requirements into technical definitions, reference architectures, Terraform modules, and reusable platform patterns aligned to enterprise standards. Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform to provision AWS services at scale, including module development, versioning, and environment strategies. Develop self-service platform capabilities and golden paths that enable safe and efficient infrastructure deployments. Create and maintain CI/CD automation and GitHub Actions workflows for validation, security scanning, and controlled deployments. Embed security-by-design with IAM best practices, encryption standards, and secure network architectures. Implement governance and guardrails to meet internal security, risk, and regulatory requirements for financial services. Develop software and automation to eliminate manual processes and improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience. Evaluate and adopt AWS and third-party tools that align with platform standards and long-term strategy. Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and application teams to ensure compliant integration with platform services. Define and assess functional and non-functional requirements for security, scalability, performance, and resilience. Leverage AI/ML services to enhance automation, developer experience, and intelligent tooling and workflows. Build and maintain Python-based automation and AWS Lambda workflows to reduce operational effort. Contribute to event-driven and serverless platform components using AWS native services. Support secure and scalable cloud network architectures compliant with regulatory requirements. Act as a subject matter contributor for AWS, Terraform, and platform engineering practices to support internal adoption. Advance observability and operational excellence with monitoring, alerting, and reliability improvements. Promote an inclusive, healthy working environment and help resolve impediments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Significant experience developing Terraform configurations and modules; proficiency translating designs into Terraform code. Hands-on experience with Terraform Enterprise for provisioning and governance. Experience in DevOps and GitOps models, including infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and policy-as-code. Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud adoption frameworks. Solid understanding of cloud networking, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security controls. Experience building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions in enterprise environments. Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring, logging, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework principles. Experience with containers and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, pipelines, and container repositories. Experience with automation tools and programming such as Terraform, Ansible, Java, and Python. Experience with cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tooling. Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Minimum 5+ years of cloud automation engineering experience. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience in financial services and regulated environments. Experience across multiple public cloud providers.
