Role Description The Architectural Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in St Louis, MO. This team member will create and refine architectural concepts, develop detailed construction drawings, and support the design of modular and panelized building systems. Daily responsibilities include producing schematic and detailed design documents, creating panelized design sets, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams, and ensuring design solutions align with project requirements and building codes. The role involves translating project needs into practical, buildable designs, reviewing and adjusting plans based on stakeholder feedback, and assisting with design documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The Architectural Designer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design standards, support project feasibility assessments, and contribute to innovative solutions that advance affordable and sustainable construction.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to develop functional, efficient building concepts.
  • Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings and technical Drawing documentation for modular or panelized systems.
  • Understanding of Urban Planning principles and their application to housing, community development, and sustainable design.
  • Experience with architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Eagle Metal, or similar BIM/CAD tools).
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field; professional experience in modular, panelized or off-site construction is a plus.
