The Senior Manager, Assortment Activation, leads the strategic planning and execution of modular and relay initiatives to drive business objectives. This role ensures operational excellence by managing resources, mitigating risks, and maintaining execution quality across formats. Acting as a key liaison among cross-functional teams, the position aligns insights and priorities to optimize performance. The role also focuses on developing talent, fostering continuous improvement, and upholding high standards of integrity and collaboration to support Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and exceptional customer experiences.
About the team:
The assortment activation team enhances customer experience through precise modular planning and activation in stores. Collaborating across functions, the team delivers optimal assortments by implementing category strategies across floor plans and modulars. Utilizing data analysis and market insights, they ensure effective product placement supporting both in-store and online orders. Focused on comprehensive planning, project management, and resource coordination, the team drives business priorities with strong communication and adaptability. Their efforts contribute to seamless execution and continuous improvement, aligning with Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do:
  • Lead end-to-end planning, governance, and oversight of modular and relay initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Manage portfolio capacity and resource allocation to meet evolving business needs and seasonal priorities.
  • Establish and enforce execution standards and best practices across store formats to drive operational excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Insights, Space, and Merchant teams to align decisions and clarify roles.
  • Mentor and develop managers and associates to build leadership capabilities and promote continuous learning.
  • Drive data analysis, risk mitigation, and process optimization to enhance execution quality and business outcomes.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
