A leading manufacturer in the residential housing industry is seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join its growing team in Ocala, Florida.

This role is ideal for someone with experience drafting residential homes, commercial buildings, or manufactured housing projects who enjoys transforming concepts into accurate production-ready drawings. We are also open to considering recent graduates who have completed relevant coursework, internships, or hands-on experience in drafting, construction design, architecture, or structural building plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating production drawings, collaborating with internal teams, ensuring compliance with building codes, and supporting projects from initial order through production.

What You'll Do

  • Create accurate production drawings, floor plans, layouts, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Develop and maintain drawing files for manufacturing and production use.

  • Collaborate closely with production teams regarding drawing revisions and project requirements.
  • Work with sales teams to ensure customer specifications are accurately reflected in drawings.

  • Assist with additional drafting and design-related projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using AutoCAD in a professional, educational, or internship setting.
  • Knowledge of residential, commercial, or manufactured housing construction methods.
  • Understanding of building codes, construction standards, and drafting principles.
  • Strong computer and technical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Construction Design, or a related field.
  • Experience drafting residential homes, commercial structures, modular buildings, or manufactured homes.
  • Familiarity with production drawings and construction documentation.
  • Experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD and related design platforms.
  • Exposure to Argos or similar drafting software is a plus but not required.
