Job Description We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented CAD Drafter/3D Modeler to join our team. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to create detailed technical drawings for our tactical building designs, turning conceptual designs into precise, executable plans that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Fusion 360, Revit, and SketchUp Pro (including LayOut) for modular and tactical buildings
- Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for large-scale projects
- Collaborate and communicate with engineers to translate project concepts into construction documents
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from the project team and clients
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Organize and import files into production software for machine fabrication
- Produce technical documentation and drawings for manufacturing and construction
- Assist in preparing project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency
- Participate in design reviews and recommend design improvements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD drafting and 3D modeling
- Proficiency in Fusion 360, Revit, and SketchUp Pro (including LayOut)ย
- Experience creating accurate BOMs and BOQs for large-scale projects
- Strong experience communicating with engineers to develop construction documents
- Skilled in organizing and importing files into production software for machine fabrication
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Degree or certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience with modular or tactical buildings a plus
- Background in welding or metal fabrication a plusย
- Must be able to work on-site
