Position Summary

The IT Infrastructure Manager/Project Manager will lead to a comprehensive modernization of the organization’s technology environment, including a full device refresh, network redesign, and data center transformation. This role is ideal for a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives in fast-growing healthcare environments and can build scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure to support clinical operations, remote workforce expansion, and organizational growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong vendor and project management skills, and experience modernizing infrastructure in complex, multi-site environments—preferably within healthcare or other regulated industries. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, build scalable infrastructure that supports organizational growth by bringing structure, discipline, and clarity to complex modernization efforts, communicating effectively with clinicians, executives, and technical teams and delivering measurable improvements in reliability, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Modernization Leadership

  • Lead the end to end device lifecycle refresh across all sites, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and clinical equipment.
  • Oversee a complete network infrastructure modernization, including LAN/WAN redesign, wireless upgrades, SD WAN implementation, and network segmentation for security.
  • Direct the data center refresh, including server modernization, virtualization, storage upgrades, cloud migration planning, and disaster recovery improvements.
  • Develop and execute a multi year infrastructure roadmap aligned with organizational growth and clinical service expansion.

Project & Program Management

  • Serve as the program lead for all infrastructure transformation initiatives, ensuring on time, on budget delivery.
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, risk logs, communication plans, and executive dashboards.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams, including IT operations, security, clinical leadership, and external vendors.
  • Ensure all infrastructure projects meet compliance requirements (HIPAA, NIST, SOC2, etc.).

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and optimize IT asset management, device procurement, and refresh cycles.
  • Implement standardized processes for configuration management, patching, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Strengthen network reliability, uptime, and performance across all sites.
  • Partner with cybersecurity leadership to ensure secure architecture, identity management, and endpoint protection.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with hardware, software, telecom, and managed service providers.
  • Lead RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor performance reviews.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, forecasts, and capital planning.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor infrastructure engineers, network administrators, and project staff.
  • Build a high performing team capable of supporting a rapidly scaling organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvemen



Requirements:

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • 3+ years of experience managing large scale infrastructure or modernization projects.
  • Proven success leading device, network, and data center refresh initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), virtualization (VMware/Hyper V), and modern networking technologies.
  • Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, government, financial services).
  • Strong project management skills (PMP or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive and clinical audiences.

Preferred

  • Experience in behavioral health, community health, or nonprofit healthcare.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, NIST CSF, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting multi site, multi state organizations with rapid growth.
  • Background in EHR/ERP infrastructure support (e.g., Netsmart, Oracle NetSuite, Paylocity).
