Position Summary
The Senior Infrastructure Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives that support enterprise technology modernization, operational stability, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and business growth objectives. This role is accountable for managing projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business priorities, technology strategies, and organizational governance standards.
The Senior Infrastructure Project Manager partners closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Services, Network Services, Security, Enterprise Platforms, Operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to coordinate resources, manage risks, and deliver technology solutions on time, within budget, and according to quality expectations. The role provides leadership across cross-functional teams, facilitates executive communications and decision-making, and drives successful project outcomes within a highly matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and execution of infrastructure projects from initiation through deployment and project closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, communication plans, and project governance artifacts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery activities across infrastructure domains including cloud, network, security, end-user computing, hosting, storage, backup, and identity management.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, executive reviews, and stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to align project objectives, priorities, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project financials, budgets, forecasts, vendor expenditures, and procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO methodologies, architectural standards, security requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Support operational readiness activities including testing, change management, deployment planning, and transition to support teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, governance processes, and delivery methodologies.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies including cloud platforms, networking, virtualization, storage, cybersecurity, identity management, and infrastructure operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional technology projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proficiency in project planning, resource management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong risk management, issue resolution, dependency management, and decision-facilitation capabilities.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across business and technology teams.
  • Experience utilizing project and portfolio management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Planview, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
  • Behavioral proficiency at the Professional level: Change Leadership, Customer Focus, Collaboration & Partnership, Decision Making, Influencing Others, Communication, Accountability, Problem Solving, and Results Orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, highly matrixed enterprise environment.

Business Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Typically 7+ years of project management experience within enterprise technology environments.
  • Typically 5+ years leading infrastructure-focused initiatives involving multiple technology teams and vendors.
  • Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, cybersecurity, operational transformation, or enterprise technology programs.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, governance processes, and executive stakeholder communications.
  • Preferred certifications include PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications, ITIL Foundation, and cloud platform certifications (AWS or Azure).
  • Healthcare industry experience and experience working within regulated environments preferred.
