Part-time adjunct faculty pool in Modern Languages to fill opportunities on a course-by-course basis as need arises .
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach Spanish, German, Chinese, and Arabic. Modern Language faculty offer language instruction through introductory courses, intermediate classes, and advanced topic seminars.
We are looking for outstanding scholars, but successful candidates must also demonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an ability to jump into an existing curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches. A successful candidate should possess native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, German, Chinese, or Arabic and hold a PhD in an appropriate corresponding discipline.
Submitting an application through this part-time posting will place you in an applicant pool to fill Modern Languages adjunct faculty positions on an as needed basis. Specific topics and start dates will vary over the academic year.

Applicants should submit the following:
--cover letter that addresses relevant expertise and experience

--evidence of teaching experience (syllabi, teaching portfolio, etc.)
Compensation: $6,000 per course
