Calamos Advisors LLC has an opening for Vice President of Strategy and Deals Director in Chicago, Illinois. Works directly with senior executives to support the evaluation and execution of organic and inorganic, investment, special project and transaction opportunities. Support executive decision-making by providing recommendations. Research, analyze, model, and report on the macro and micro aspects of opportunities and the markets they operate in. Perform internal value creation assessments, including use of market benchmarks and data analytics. Engage with and manage relationships with Calamosโ€™ investment partners, including in Greece. 5% Domestic and International travel is required.

Job Requirements

Position requires a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. In the alternative, will accept 3 years experience in a Strategy or Deals role within the Alternative Asset Management sector.

Must also have work experience in:

  • Preparing C-suite reports, analysis and recommendations for the C-suite, including direct engagement with the CEO;
  • Researching, analyzing, modelling and reporting on the macro and micro aspects of M&A targets with the US and international asset management industry, together with sector adjacencies including insurance linked securities and commodities;
  • Conducting corporate value creation assessments, including internal and external quantitative and qualitative assessment of revenue drivers, capital and liquidity, expense base composition, and market impact events;
  • Using data science tools, including Power BI, to drive analytics and conclusions;
  • Engaging and managing third party consultants, including professional services firms, investment banks or legal advisers, in the US and internationally including Greece;
  • Utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools, including Claude, to drive process efficiencies/analytical effectiveness.
  • Working in Greek markets/transactions;
  • Social Media, in particular close monitoring of the Bitcoin/Crypto space and alternative asset management , and use of X, LinkedIn and Instagram for disseminating market and company perspectives;
  • Managing and coaching direct and indirect reports in the exercise of their duties;
  • Conducting advanced financial modelling; and
  • Analyzing the digital asset marketplace and opportunities, including economic analysis and due diligence.

SALARY: $140,026.00 - $140,026.00 per year
