This job has both full-time & part-time positions available


WORK DAY:

  • Staff Work Day - June 8th
  • Student Days - June 15th-18th and June 22nd-25th


WORK HOURS:

  • ESC: 8:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
  • Prairie Care: 8:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
  • SERCC: 8:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.


REPORTS TO: Care and Treatment Coordinator, Elizabeth Svenby


SALARY: $49.52 per hour


OTHER INFORMATION: Multiple positions available.


We believe that all students can learn and that motivating students is an essential part of teaching. Students in these programs are invited to participate because they are at risk of not meeting proficiency.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minnesota Special education teaching license required.
  • Regular, on-time attendance is required.
  • Successful special education teaching background required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Familiar with students at the site.
  • Demonstrated Educational Leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect attendance for students in Care and Treatment Summer School.
  • Participates in planning prior to start of program.
  • Prepares student classroom assignments and monitors enrollment and utilizes OLA for attendance.
  • Directs and helps manage behavior and discipline.
  • Use and promote instructional strategies as defined by academic program.
  • Provide safe and positive learning environment.
  • Use data to make decisions regarding instruction and interventions.
  • Develop relationships and encourage positive self-efficacy for all students.
