Job #: 3047601 Title: Radar Modeling Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer Apex Systems is currently hiring a Radar Modeling Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer with a large federal client. As a Systems Engineer, you will transform technology into opportunity by connecting and enhancing critical enterprise IT systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the security and intelligence of our technological infrastructure. Project Details / Mission Supported: We are seeking a Radar Modeling Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer to join a qualified and diverse team. In this role, you will focus on accelerating the delivery of capabilities to customers through the development and use of advanced models and simulations of platforms, sensors, weapons, and their interactions with the environment. This position is located in Baltimore, MD. Key Responsibilities โ€ข Utilize Modeling, Simulation, Experimentation, and Analysis (MSE&A) of advanced systems using C++ object-oriented design, advanced data structures, and test-driven development. โ€ข Develop large-scale data analytics, probabilities, and statistics, including the application of design of experiment techniques for the evaluation of system and mission performance. โ€ข Integrate MS&A with operational flight software, collecting and analyzing data from laboratory or flight tests. โ€ข Perform verification and validation of simulation performance against flight test data and formally verify that models meet specified requirements. โ€ข Produce publication-quality reports to define the foundation for simulation credibility across all stakeholders. โ€ข Innovate to solve problems and identify improvements across MSE&A products. โ€ข Perform operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis. โ€ข Develop new and/or integrate existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models, and command and control models. โ€ข Model operational environments, perform trade studies via computer simulation, and recommend alternative architectures. โ€ข Develop, integrate, and use advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. with 1+ year of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. An additional 4+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: Experience with domain knowledge in simulations of RF, EOIR, Communications, or related systems. Experience working with digital signal processing and complex valued signal data is required. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access as required for program work. Technical Skills: Proficiency with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Bash, or C shell scripting on Linux and Windows computing environments. Experience with analytical modeling approaches using the MATLAB environment is also required. Preferred Qualifications โ€ข Advanced degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. โ€ข Experience with Modeling, Experimentation, Simulation, and Analysis. โ€ข Experience with real-time and/or reactive simulation software applications development. โ€ข Experience with one or more of the following: statistics, design of experiments, descriptive/diagnostic/predictive/prescriptive analytics, high-performance computing. โ€ข Experience developing and validating radar models. โ€ข Experience with adaptive signal processing and optimal estimation theory. โ€ข Understanding of the Systems Engineering and Integration & Test processes. โ€ข Experience with DPC, CUDA, OpenCL, Verilog, VHDL, or other domain-specific languages. โ€ข Experience with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies.
