Tetra Tech is adding a skilled Simulation Modeler to create and analyze discrete event simulation models for our clients. This position involves close collaboration with customers to develop tailored models, provide actionable insights, and support operational and process improvements.

Your Role:
  • Develop, document, and maintain discrete event simulation models for various projects.
  • Analyze simulation results to identify optimal configurations aligned with customer objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather project requirements and communicate simulation concepts effectively.
  • Participate in meetings (virtual or in-person) with Tetra Tech staff and customers to discuss progress and results.
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate and high-quality simulation models.
  • Balance multiple projects concurrently while keeping management informed of milestones and challenges.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and analyzing discrete event simulation models.
  • Proficiency with ExtendSim simulation software.
  • Understanding of statistical principles, discrete event simulation methodologies, and general manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and high-speed production systems (highly desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and conveying results.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a DOE Q-clearance (U.S. Department of Energy security clearance).
  • Hands-on experience in food manufacturing and high-speed processes.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
