Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Analyst (Modeling & Simulation) to support a cutting-edge Modeling & Simulation (M&S) lab. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows administration, SQL Server management, GIS analysis, and coding in Python and VBA. This position involves configuring and maintaining M&S lab systems, conducting data analysis, and developing insightful reports and presentations to support decision-making and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

  • M&S Lab Support:
  • Provide technical support for the M&S lab, including configuring and maintaining Windows 10/11 systems.
  • Perform software installations, updates, and system configurations to support M&S activities.
  • Develop and implement lab layouts using Sketch-Up to plan and optimize lab space for performance and functionality.
  • Specify, install, and configure Windows-based PCs to meet operational and simulation requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in the lab environment.
  • Install, configure, and manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to support data analysis and reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) using Microsoft Report Builder to create detailed and insightful reports.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of the SQL database environment.
  • Develop complex Excel models and automate processes using VBA.
  • Create VBA code that integrates with MS SQL Server to enable seamless data processing and analysis.
  • Provide advanced Excel expertise to support data modeling and decision-making processes.
  • Utilize ESRI ArcGIS Pro 3.2+ to perform GIS analyses and visualizations.
  • Develop Python scripts to automate GIS tasks and enhance geospatial data processing capabilities.
  • Conduct spatial analysis to support simulation and modeling projects.
  • Perform Verification & Validation (V&V) analyses to ensure simulation models accurately reflect real-world scenarios.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and performance gaps.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve simulation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations to stakeholders, explaining complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical teams to communicate project status, insights, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in modeling and simulation, lab support, and analytical roles.
  • Proficiency in Windows administration, configuration, and software installation.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (installation, setup, management, and reporting).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formula creation and VBA coding.
  • Strong Python scripting skills and experience with ArcGIS Pro.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex data analysis and present findings effectively.
Preferred:
  • Masterโ€™s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with Sketch-Up for lab layout and planning.
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or government projects.
  • Strong understanding of modeling and simulation methodologies.
