CAD Digital Model Technician & Scanner

Summary:

This position is responsible for CAD/CAM scanning, uploading files, equipment calibration, case entry, case matching, digital impression processing, reading and following client’s instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs dental model digital scanning with 3Shape scanning system
  • Executes dental digital model design and processing
  • Responsible for the timely scanning and processing of cases
  • Accountable for quality control of cases scanned
  • Follows daily schedule and production goals
  • Reads and follows prescriptions. Scans models/ dies to create digital images
  • Ensures correct and proper contents are with each case
  • Assign materials based on prescription
  • Ensures the bite closes properly. Blocks out undercuts on dies using wax
  • Ensures accuracy and production work performed. Displays dependable and consistent performance
  • Helps to keep the department production on-time, clean and organized
  • Communicates between departments as needed to provide teamwork and correct problems
  • Continually improves the department in terms of quality and efficiency, reducing internal remakes and waste
  • Works to set an example for employees in the CAD Scan department by maintaining a positive attitude and desire to always grow while remaining work focused
  • Other duties as assigned
