This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description

HII Mission Technologies has a need for a Statistical Model Validation Analyst who will support Verification & Validation (V&V) activities by performing rigorous statistical assessments of model performance within missioncritical government systems.

The position will require onsite attendance in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced statistical and analytical methods to examine processes, systems, and diverse datasets, including structured, semistructured, and unstructured data..
  • Develop and source sourcing software programs, algorithms, dashboards, information tools, and data queries to clean, model, integrate, and evaluate datasets.
  • Employs statistical concepts, linguistic analysis, and programming skills to create and refine analytical techniques and methodologies.
  • Remain current on emerging analytic methodologies, statistical technologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with functional business units to drive analytic solutions, support technical direction, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner to enable informed business and operational decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts within statistics, analytics, and model validation.
  • General knowledge of related disciplines such as data engineering, machine learning, linguistics, or systems analysis.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and difficult problems.
  • Strong proficiency with statistical programming languages, analytical tools, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Clearance: SECRET security clearance required.
Physical Requirements
  • May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
