Now Hiring: School Age Program Staff (Seasonal)
Location: My Kids Childcare Inc.
Start Date: Contingent upon completion of background check and verification of qualifications
Are you energetic, fun-loving, and passionate about working with children? My Kids Childcare Inc. is looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our School Age Program for the summer season-from June through August.
This is a Monday through Friday position with NO WEEKENDS!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a group of children and actively engage in activities
  • Provide a quality experience to children and parents focused on MKC core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring
  • Participate in planning and implementing program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with MKC values
  • Interact with children and support their emotional needs
  • Model good behavior and relationship-building skills in all interactions
  • Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness
  • Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Attend staff meetings and required trainings
  • Follow MKC policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred
  • Ability to relate to and develop authentic relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Must be able to pass a BCI & FBI background check and provide a current physical
  • Willingness to train in bus driving is a plus
  • Must complete ODJFS Child Care Staff Orientation within 30 days of hire
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
  • Must complete Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Recognition within 30 days of hire
