Job description

How can a financial analyst help to fulfill the Legacy mission of making life better for others? By ensuring that Legacy Health has the necessary financial data and analytics to achieve goals and make sound financial practices. This goes beyond having good financial acumen; the financial analyst also must understand our clinical and data systems. Under minimal supervision, is responsible for performing a wide variety of financial reporting, modeling, and related complex analyses for assigned areas of responsibility. 

A successful candidate will have direct experience of Insurance Policies including:

  • knowledge, understanding and administration of policy coverage parts
  • coverage terms and conditions and claims reporting & handling, broker, and carrier communications
  • insurance credentialing, claims history verifications, certificates of insurance, endorsements, loss run reports
  • captive / self-insured insurance programs, compliance, and actuarial data reporting

Education: 

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: 

  • Requires minimum of two-four years of experience as an accountant, financial analyst or auditor; three years preferred.  Experience in Healthcare clinical operations and/or finance desirable. 
  • Experience with developing financial models: budgeting, business expansion/contracting

Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and analytical methodologies.  Working knowledge of statistical analysis. 
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to use a personal computer, with a working knowledge of basic software, including Excel, Word, E-mail and other spreadsheet and database management programs, database query and/or report writers. 
  • Ability to produce concise written analytical reports. 
  • Ability to produce efficient spreadsheets supporting analysis. 
  • Ability to work with all types of individuals including management and communicate with clarity and confidence. 
  • Project management skills.

USD $38.55 - USD $55.48 /Hr.
