Job Purpose
EnerSys®, a NYSE-listed company, is seeking a highly motivated AI Supplier Risk Analytics Intern to support the development of an AI-based Risk Scoring System. This internship offers hands-on experience applying data analytics and machine learning techniques to real-world supplier quality and supply chain risk challenges. This paid 10-12-week internship offers hands-on experience in Hands-on experience developing an AI-driven business solution. The intern will collaborate with Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Data teams to analyze supplier performance data, develop predictive risk indicators, and help deliver actionable insights that support supplier management and sourcing decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the automated Supplier approval process using Smartsheet.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze supplier data related to quality, delivery, audits, corrective actions, and performance trends.
  • Analyze historical supplier performance data to identify leading risk indicators
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business risk requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Assist in the development and testing of AI/ML models used to assess and score supplier risk

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following fields or related disciplines: Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial or Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or Analytics
  • Experience with or coursework in data analysis and basic machine learning concepts.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python visualization libraries, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
