Job description

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Systems Engineer Intern to join our interdisciplinary engineering team. Systems engineering is the glue that holds our complex projects together. In this role, you won't just focus on a single component; you will look at the big picture. Key Responsibilities * System Architecture & Modeling: Support the team in developing system diagrams, functional architectures, and state machines utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
* Interface Control: Help define, document, and manage interfaces between hardware, software, and mechanical subsystems to ensure seamless integration.
* Verification & Validation (V&V): Participate in defining test plans, executing system-level integration tests in the lab, and mapping test results back to requirements matrices.
* Risk & Configuration Management: Assist in conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and maintaining configuration control of system documentation. Required Qualifications * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or degree in Engineering or a closely related STEM discipline.
* Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
* Exceptional structural thinking, with the ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into organized parts.
* Excellent technical writing and communication skills for presenting to cross-functional teams.
* Foundational experience using MATLAB for mathematical modeling, signal processing, or analyzing electromagnetic data
* U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract regulations and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. Radiance Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
