Role Overview: The Paint Technician I is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of vacated apartments, occupied apartments, and other interiors and exteriors of common areas as required using lead safe practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide painting services of vacated apartments, occupied apartments, exterior walls, pool areas (touch-ups), exterior doors, and model apartments.
  • Receive a plan of action to complete assigned tasks, including job locations and readying equipment.
  • Identify and use of all required painting supplies, equipment, and PPE gear for the job.
  • Work safely, following guidelines, utilizing proper protective equipment, and complying with OSHA regulations.
  • Identify and reports all unsafe acts and/or equipment to Painting Foreman
  • Completes final punch list in accordance with company policy, obtains required approval, and reports on proper completion of job.

Requirements
  • One year of experience as a Painter is preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Organizational and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute assigned tasks.
  • Ability to interact with residents, team members, vendors, and other business contacts, respond courteously to questions and requests, and stay calm when addressing and resolving any problems.
  • Multifamily housing experience is preferred, but not necessary.
  • A valid driver's license for the purpose of operating a community vehicle and/or golf cart.
