Job description

Century Linen & Uniform is a leading commercial laundry, linen, and uniform service provider with more than 100 years of experience. Founded in 1915 in Amsterdam, NY, the company has grown from a small household laundry service to one of the most advanced operations in the country.

We specialize in healthcare linen services, table linens, dust control, and uniform rental for hospitals, nursing homes, restaurants, hotels, and a wide range of commercial and industrial clients. As market needs evolved, Century Linen shifted from traditional wash services to a full linen and uniform rental model, which now makes up over 90% of our business. The remaining services include processing customer-owned goods and operating coin laundromats.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to drive new business and manage client relationships as a Sales Account Executive for our non- acute care division of Century Linen & Uniforms. 

Job Summary

As a Sales Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by building and maintaining strong client relationships with non-acute care customers. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating sales leads that could include physician offices, imaging centers, infusion sites, long term care facilities, rehabilitation centers etc. and working closely with clients to understand their needs that could include items such as uniforms, scrubs, patient gowns, sheets, mats, cleaning supplies, restroom services etc. and provide our customized solutions that add value to their businesses. This role requires a results-oriented professional who is motivated by goals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels in customer-centric selling.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and engage potential clients through prospecting and lead generation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Execute the entire sales process, from initial outreach to closing deals, while achieving or exceeding assigned sales targets.
  • Prepare proposals and close deals as an external agent of the company
  • Submit periodic reports detailing sales activity and close deals
  • Attend trade shows and/or networking events

Account Management:

  • Build, manage, and nurture client relationships to promote retention, satisfaction, and growth within existing accounts.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients, offering solutions to meet their evolving needs and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses for sales purposes.

Strategic Planning & Reporting:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans tailored to each client, setting clear short- and long-term objectives.
  • Regularly report on sales activity, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue to management.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align with sales strategies and ensure client feedback is communicated for product/service improvement.

Market Research & Intelligence:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to continuously improve selling strategies.
  • Identify competitor changes, pricing etc.

Travel Requirements:

  • 60-70% Based on business demand 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record of at least 2-4 years in sales, account management, or a similar role, preferably in the Linen services industry or Hospitality Industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Linen services, or hospitality
  • Demonstrated success in a consultative selling environment.
  • Familiarity with account-based selling and lead generation techniques
