Join us as Control Engineer (Vehicle Architecture), and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St-Bruno (QC), CA.

Perform control engineering activities for one or several vehicle functions from architecture to detail specification, interface and Pure Principle Scheme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountable for delivering the Train Control documentation (Requirement Specification and Architecture Description RSAD, Technical Purchase Specification TPS, Interface Control Document ICD).

Responsible for :

  • Defining and implementing the functional, performance, transverse and train level requirements of the system.
  • Integrating the system into the project
  • Defining the Interface for the system.
  • Verifying of the system (focus on train level and TCMS) including design reviews.
  • Change and configuration management process for the system on train level.
  • Control of changes after design changes including impact analysis.
  • Planning and follow up of all activities linked to the system.
  • Providing inputs to engineering team, sourcing, suppliers

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably automation, automated production, electrical or other relevant field
  • Member of the OIQ (asset)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the railway field or other related field (aerospace, automotive, bus...)
  • Understanding of systems engineering processes
  • Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for serial, Ethernet, VB and other communication networks.
  • Knowledge or experience in design and development using model-based development tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Control Build, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ...), SharePoint, Teams, ...
  • Knowledge of electrical and schematic design activity (asset)
  • Functional level of French and English
  • Good communication skills
