Job description

Summit Federal Services, LLC (SFS) with headquarters in Oakland, Maryland, is a fast growing woman owned Small Business and HUBZone company with an outstanding record of performance providing more effective and efficient acquisition, business process, training, IT, administrative and security services to multiple federal agencies. SFS is looking for a Senior Modeling and Simulation Analyst to provide support to CBL Battle Lab Facility located at Fort Gordon GA. All work will be performed onsite.

This contract will support the CBL mission to provide experimentation support to the C- CDID with dynamic network experimentation integrated with CO, DODIN-A, EW and IA through the Cyber Battle Lab’s Experimentation Branch (EB), Environments Support Branch (ESB), and the Army Persistent Experimentation eNvironment (APEN) Cyber Enterprise Service Center (CESC). The CBL Experimentation Support contract will provide support in the form of experiments, assessments, analyses and network support that will validate proposed new technical solutions to resolve known Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership & Education, Personnel, Facilities Policy (DOTMLPF-P) capability gaps within the CO, EW, Network, and IA force modernization lines of effort.

Position Summary

The Senior Modeling and Simulation Analyst develops, analyzes, validates, and applies modeling and simulation tools to support operational analysis, system development, test and evaluation, training, acquisition programs, and strategic decision-making. This role provides technical expertise in building and executing simulations, analyzing complex data sets, and delivering actionable recommendations to stakeholders in government, defense, aerospace, or commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and maintain modeling and simulation environments for system performance, mission effectiveness, and operational analysis.
  • Design simulation scenarios, experiments, and analytical studies to evaluate system capabilities and operational concepts.
  • Conduct statistical analysis, sensitivity studies, and performance assessments.
  • Verify, validate, and accredit (VV&A) simulation models and analytical tools.
  • Analyze large data sets and generate technical reports, briefings, and recommendations.
  • Support system engineering, test and evaluation, and requirements development activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, software developers, operators, and program managers to define analytical objectives.
  • Develop automated analysis tools and scripts to improve efficiency and repeatability.
  • Present findings to senior leadership, customers, and technical review boards.
  • Support modeling and simulation efforts throughout the system lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Typically 8–15+ years of experience in modeling, simulation, systems analysis, or operations research.
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics, and quantitative analysis methods.
  • Experience developing and executing analytical models and simulations.
  • Proficiency with one or more programming or analysis languages:
    • Python
    • MATLAB
    • R
    • C++
    • Java
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, intelligence, or federal government programs.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition, test, and evaluation processes.
  • Experience with:
    • Mission-level simulations

  • Active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
