 POSITION SUMMARY:Â
The Mod Picker is responsible for picking product, sorting product, and ensuring delivery of product to distribution areas for packing and shipping of product while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Pull and pack orders from requisitions, customer order sheets, stock lists, and RF Scanner
Ability to follow detailed procedures and receive written or oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
Report shortages, assist in putting stock away, selecting bin or storage locations, and taking inventory
Move finished orders to shipping or staging area using hand jacks and totes
Attach identifying labels to containers or mark them with identifying information
- Record numbers of units handled and moved, using RF gun
- Sort cargo before loading and unloading
Select a wide variety of materials and supplies, accumulate orders to be delivered to packing and shipping areas
Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE and OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:Â
High School/GED
2+ years of related work experience; preferably in a warehouse/distribution/manufacturing environment and ability to work in a team environment
Use of handheld RF Scanner experience
High level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must to be successful
Ability to load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products, manually and/or using industrial powered equipment
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
General problem solving/analysis capabilities and possesses an attention to detail
Warehouse Management Systems software experience helpful
PC literate (MS Office) preferredÂ
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally sit, frequently climb or balance, regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; is subject occasionally to outdoor weather conditions; may frequently work near moving mechanical parts; and may be exposed to humid conditions.Â
