Job Description

Strong experience in all areas of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Infrastructure is needed for an immediate contract to hire opportunity.   Ideal candidates would have a good balance of experience in managing large infrastructure projects, leading software development projects (WEB) and deploying large packaged software implementations.

Experience with MDM (Mobile Device Management), BYOD (Bring your own Device), or MAM (Mobile Application Management) particular focus on implementing Enabling Workforce Mobility options including BYOD.   

Thorough knowledge of the Systems/Software Implementation Life Cycle combined with a STRONG technical background is required. This is not a hands-on technical position but requires architecture experience to understand the issues and the technical hurdles and be able to correlate those into project impact and deliverables. 

Candidate should have prior technical experience to allow the Architect to help drive technical meetings, impact design decisions and understand the technical obstacles facing their team. Prior experience can be as a Software Engineer, Development Manager, Network Engineer, Sys Admin, DBA, Technical BA, or related technical discipline.

Prior experience as a Enterprise Architect for package software implementations, network deployments, and other large infrastructure environments will also be very helpful. Prior experience managing large infrastructure build outs, planning, design and upgrades will also be a big plus.

Participation and facilitation in vendor engagement reviews/new proposal process that is aligned to AT&T procurement process and ITS VM process. 

Assist in establishing a governance model and development framework to ensure a consistent, managed, and best-in-class approach to the mobile enablement of devices, users, applications, information, and experiences for employees, vendors, volunteers and partners.

Working with ITS counterparts, and facilitating granular requirements capture from AT&T Business units , assist in the implementation of  the AT&T workforce mobility strategy, business case, funding model, architecture & development standards, and the organizational change management program
Socialize the workforce mobility strategy and operational support model in partnership with the IT Operations group
Facilitate the process for prioritizing and remediation of  enterprise wide apps for mobile device use that automates business processes or extend existing applications

Qualifications

  • The candidatew will be to be discovering problems; analyzing problems;  architecture and solution around problem; then putting documenting and presenting to the client
  • Strong verbal skills -and very strong presentation skills ; fast paced; MS office -EXPERT; expert in excel sheets; putting budgets together; technical background as important as well because they are putting together the solution (network tie ins etc; customization for mobility connections)
  • Working on 6-10 customer accounts per month
  • Travel Required -not on constant basis up to 20%
  • This is not an engineer position it is a technical/business architect
