Atlas' adaptable technology platform includes monitoring systems that track real-time patient position and turn quality as well as proprietary software that captures mobility analytics to strengthen the consistency, compliance, and effectiveness of mobility protocols. About the Role
The Mobility Technician (MT) supports safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) across healthcare facilities. Working with patients and clinical staff at the bedside, MTs ensure safe, effective, and efficient mobility support throughout the patient journey.
All team members begin at Level I, with opportunities to progress through four levels (I-IV), each building on the last with increased training, leadership, and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Learn and perform core mobility duties.
  • Focus on developing foundational skills and understanding unit workflows.
  • Support team members and patient care with guidance from supervisors.
  • Assist patients with safe mobility and transfers in clinical environments.
  • Educate and train staff on safe patient handling methodology.
  • Operate, maintain, and utilize patient handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Document all patient interactions, care staff training, rounding and related activities in Atlas' proprietary software accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work independently while collaborating as part of a team.
  • Follow hospital policies and patient handling protocols, using proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meet physical requirements (lift 35 lbs, walk/stand for full shift).
  • Maintain current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • Maintain all required vaccinations per hospital(s) policies
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 months experience in patient care or healthcare
  • Coaching or training experience preferred
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Strong technology skills, with ability to use mainstream and proprietary software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must pass medical and drug screening.
  • Career-minded with a strong desire to grow within the company.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, EMS/EMT, military, or physical rehabilitation roles, a plus
  • Experience coaching, training, or mentoring peers, a plus
